Description

Day 1, Arrival in Krakow.


Check-in at your hotel, dinner, overnight.

Day 2, Nowa Huta & Krakow – full day city tour


Morning: excursion to visit the fascinating communist ‘suburb’ of Nowa Huta.
Tour includes: Nowa Huta’s famous Central Square, the Mittal Steel Works (*including the blast furnace which produces ‘pig iron’ and the steel rolling mills), the Museum of Nowa Huta and Solidarity Remembrance Room and Wanda Mound with its panoramic view. Your group can also admire other aspects of the Nowa Huta district such as the Cistercian Abbey and the churches of St Bartholomew and of The Ark.
Lunch at a social realist style restaurant in the centre of Nowa Huta.
Return to Krakow city centre.
Afternoon: city tour of Krakow including the Main Market Square, St. Mary’s Church and the Royal Route together with Wawel Hill and the Cathedral.
Dinner served at your hotel or optional evening: at one of the city’s Jewish restaurants with musical entertainment.

Day 3, Krakow - Auschwitz - Krakow (150 km)


Morning: half day visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Return to Krakow.
Afternoon: time at leisure, optional: recreational activities.
Dinner served at your hotel.

Day 4, Krakow


Morning: transfer to Krakow airport
